Players caught a glimpse of it via the Xbox Dashboard

Bethesda's hit first-person shooter, Deathloop, could soon be coming to Xbox consoles as players notice a new store page for the game appear on their Xbox dashboards.

Deathloop was released for PlayStation 5 late last year and was previously confirmed to be a timed-exclusive up until September 14th, 2022. Now that the date in question has rolled around, Xbox users might not have to wait much longer to get their hands on Bethesda's hit shooter.

A pop up on the Xbox dashboard shows the cover art of Deathloop with an option to pre-order the game. Unfortunately, at the time of writing, it leads to nothing when clicked. But just like Octopath Traveler 2's similar leak yesterday, maybe a hint of this kind could be taken with more than just a grain of salt.

PlayStaion recently confirmed that Deathloop would be coming to PS Plus subscribers on the 20th of this month, whilst Phil Spencer, Head of Xbox, said that he will still honor the previous agreements between Sony and Bethesda.

Deathloop was originally created exclusively for the PlayStation 5. The studio went all out on console exclusive features, such as the capabilties of the DualSense controller and its adaptive triggers, making players feel just about everything from the shooting to the fireworks in the distance and the communications through the walkie talkie.

However, Microsoft has since gone on to acquire Bethesda, the creators of Deathloop, which sparked a great amount of speculation that the game would one day arrive on the Xbox Series X|S.

Deathloop is famous for giving players the chance to go at missions however they deemed fit, and it is suitable for people who want short bursts of gameplay instead of having to sit through long sessions and cutscenes. There are also multiple endings, and the team has said Deathloop is just the first step on their quest for creating non-linear games and experiences where the player can decide the most appropriate approach.

Xbox has also confirmed to be joining the upcoming Tokyo Game Show, so it's possible that an official announcement regarding Deathloop on Xbox is made soon.
