DeAndre Hopkins jetted off to Mexico earlier this month with girlfriend BreAnna Young, according to a recent Instagram post shared by the Arizona Cardinals wide receiver.
Captioning the post, “When in Tulum…,” Hopkins is seen in one of the snapshots walking on the edge of a pool overlooking the ocean. Young, a licensed private pilot from Texas, also appears to be seen in the shot.
Hopkins, who was first linked to Young in May of 2021, also included a video in his post that appeared to be of a candlelit dinner with a single rose on the table.
Young, meanwhile, took to Instagram on Wednesday to post a collage of photos that featured the couple celebrating Hopkins’ 30th birthday in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Hopkins, who turned the big 3-0 on Monday, was seen smiling beside Young as they posed in front of Cafe Monarch, an elegant chandelier-lit restaurant with a unique prix-fixe experience. The All-Pro receiver was treated to a birthday dessert with sparklers during their romantic outing.
“Celebrating life love & food ❤️🔥,” Young captioned her post, while Hopkins replied in the comments, “Ride or die.”
Young also shared a scenic snap Thursday on an Instagram Story that she dubbed “baecation.”
Hopkins’ birthday celebrations came about a month after the NFL suspended him for the first six games of the 2022 season for violating the league’s performance-enhancing drug policy.
The NFL announced the PED suspension in May and said Hopkins is eligible to participate in all preseason practices and games. He will be allowed to return to the Cardinals’ active roster following the team’s sixth regular-season game.
Hopkins’ suspension came after he produced a positive test result for a prohibited substance “plus a diuretic or masking agent/attempt to substitute, dilute or adulterate a specimen/attempt to manipulate a test result,” per NFL.com.
Hopkins later addressed the positive test result in a statement posted on Twitter.
“In my 10-year NFL career, I have never tested positive for using performance enhancing drugs,” his statement read. “To learn that my November test came back with trace elements of a banned substance, I was confused and shocked.
“I am very mindful of what I put it in my body and have always taken a holistic approach, so I am working with my team to investigate how this could’ve happened. But even as careful as I have been, clearly I wasn’t careful enough. For that, I apologize to Cardinals fans, my teammates, and the entire Cardinals organization. I never want to let my team down.
“I fully intend to get to the bottom of this. As soon as I have more information I will share it.”
At the time, Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray responded to Hopkins’ statement, tweeting, “Hop’s character has never been in question… we got you family.”
Hopkins missed seven games last year due to multiple injuries, which included a knee injury that required surgery. Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury said Tuesday that Hopkins has been “moving around well” in the offseason.
Hopkins, a first-round pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, recorded eight touchdowns through 10 games last season, along with 42 receptions for 572 yards.
