Emmy-nominated actress Alexandra Daddario looked to Meghan Markle to inspire her choice of “something blue” for her wedding day in late June. The star tied the knot with film producer Andrew Form in a quintessentially “Big Easy” ceremony in New Orleans, and said “I do,” at the legendary Preservation Hall.
When it came to accessorizing her Danielle Frankel wedding gown, Daddario was influenced by her favorite Royal.
“I’m obsessed with Meghan Markle,” Daddario said in a new interview with People. “She wore an aquamarine ring I believe from Princess Diana’s collection. Mine was less fancy, but I had a large blue, aquamarine ring copying Meghan Markle.”

Her silk wool Danielle Frankel gown was hand-embroidered with Chantilly lace floral appliqués along the bust and skirt. The White Lotus star topped off her look with a cascading veil for the ceremony, wearing her brunette locks in a low elegant chignon, keeping her makeup dewy and natural. “I don’t like to overthink things, I like to just go with my instincts,” Daddario told the outlet. “I think it was the third dress I tried on, and I was like ‘I love it!’ I think I tried on one other after that, and they were all great, but this one I just knew.”
Daddario’s bright blue sparkler can be seen in wedding photos on the hand holding her ivory lace parasol.
Indeed, plucked from Princess Diana’s jewelry collection, Markle was seen adorning the emerald-cut Aquamarine ring on her way to her wedding reception, waving at onlookers from a convertible Jaguar E-Type with her husband Prince Harry.
An ode to her late mother-in-law, the iconic ring by Asprey was famously worn by the Princess of Wales at the Victor Chang Research Institute Dinner Dance in Sydney, Australia, and to a private viewing at Christies Auction House in support of the Aids Crisis Trust and the Royal Marsden Hospital Cancer Fund.
Not the only blue ring passed down from Diana, Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge now wears the 12-carat sapphire engagement ring once worn by the princess.
