Hangout Festival through the Years
The Hangout Fest is going cash-free this year, and there are a few more things you might want to know before you line up at the entrance gate.
Festival organizers recently highlighted the cashless approach via social media accounts, and information also can be found at www.hangoutmusicfest.com.
Based on what festival organizers have posted, and their responses to questions about the policy, vendors throughout the site will accept debit cards, credit cards and Apple Pay. Tap-to-pay will be offered. It is not possible to link a card to your festival wristband. There will not be ATMs on site, but there will be “Cash to Card” booths where fans can exchange cash for a Visa debit card that can be used anywhere that Visa is accepted.
Allowed bags: Clear backpacks; bags and purses no larger than 12″ by 12″ by 6″; One-gallon plastic zip-top bags; fanny packs; small clutch bags approximately the size of a hand (no bigger than 4.5″ x 6.6″), with or without handles or straps. All bags will be thoroughly checked. There will be an express entrance line for fans that come without clear bags.
Hydration packs: CamelBak-style packs must be brought in empty and can have no more than one pocket aside from the pocket that carries the bladder.

You will only be allowed to carry the dosage of prescription medication required for the duration of each individual event date. Over-the-counter medications must be new and in the original, factorysealed container.
